As a rule of thumb we have provided the below indicative Mezzanine floor pricing for customers in Brisbane & The Gold Coast.
Economy of scale is very relevant when talking Mezzanine Floors. If you are dividing Stairs, Handrails and Freight through a 20m2 Floor Area, it’s going to appear more per square metre than the same Stairs, Handrails and Freight divided through a 50m2 Floor.
Mezzanine Floor Kit pricing includes the Posts, Joists, Bearers & Hardware only – We have not allowed for Flooring. Joists are spaced at 450mm centres and load capacity is 3kPa. This pricing does not include freight and is based ex. Brisbane.

Staircase and Handrail Pricing
Stairs will vary in price depending on the Standard there are being designed to – Either AS1657-2018 or AS1428.
As a guide for an AS1627-2018 Staircase with Handrails both sides work off $3600 and for AS1428 work off $5400. The difference in price is due to AS1428 Staircases requiring full balustrades, enclosed risers and a continuous top rail with J-Returns top and bottom where as AS1657 Stairs are much more simple with less labour and materials involved.
Yes, we know Stairs are not cheap but they form a pivotal part of a quality Mezzanine System so we ensure our Stairs are Engineered tough and most importantly, compliant.
Handrails are also designed either to AS1657 or the National Construction Code – We recommend allowing $150 per lineal metre for AS1657 and $310 per lineal metre for the National Construction Code as they have verticals every 125mm.
